Explore Rovinj’s ancient streets, art, and architecture, including the Basilica of St. Euphemia, and stunning, 3,000-year-old monuments. Wind down with sunset drinks and a gourmet Istrian dinner at one of our favorite seaside restaurants.

After breakfast, venture into the magical Istrian hilltop towns of Grožnjan and Motovun. Walk the ancient cobblestone streets, meet local artists, and explore the town’s quaint cafes. Then, prepare for a private forest truffle hunt with a local guide and his trained truffle hunting dogs! We’ll end our adventure with a cooking demo with traditional truffle specialties for lunch.

Day three

Discover the best bike and hiking paths, beaches, and coves in Kamenjak National Park. Spend the day exploring this nature lover’s dream; the National Park is home to 600 plant species, including 30 orchids, two of which are endemic to the area. Wildlife is diverse and thriving, and it has always been that way: fossilized dinosaur footprints were found in the south of the peninsula, dating back 98 million years.

Taste your way around Chiavalon, Istria’s most famous olive oil farm. You will learn the story of their family, how they began as olive growers and producers, and how olive oil has greatly influenced this region ever since the Roman Empire. Enjoy a walk through the olive grove and mill while learning about the production phases of extra virgin olive oil today. Dive into the tasting, with an expert guide, of four different extra virgin olive oils and learn how to recognize the properties and characteristics of premium extra virgin olive oils on the market and how to pair them with different food. Tastings are served with traditional snacks from local producers and authentic Istrian Malvasia wine.

Today, you venture to the stunning hills of Momjan, where you will do a guided tasting of five wines from the vineyards Vale and Santa Lucia. The wines will be accompanied by five specially created small dishes based on the tradition of the Istrian region.
